What started as a love for graphic design, quickly turned into a specialization in wedding invitations. And from there, came wedding and event planning.

• She's creative and open-minded, but focused, so she doesn't miss a thing.

• She loves to try new ideas for a business or a bride. She works quickly and is available outside the traditional business hours.

• She's thorough, but loves to meet with the beaming bride to plan her wedding and invitations like a good friend would.

That's Renee Halgerson. She started Copper Ink in 2006. In addition to Copper Ink and Copper Ink Wedding Design, she is a full-time Marketing Specialist for SDN Communications, so she is very involved with the Sioux Falls business community.

She is a member of:

American Institute of Graphic Artists (AIGA)
Young Professionals Network Chamber of Commerce (YPN)
Toastmasters (with her CC Certificate)
South Dakota Advertising Federation (SDAF)
Business & Professional Women (BPW)
SDSU Sioux Empire Staters Alumni Executive Board

She volunteers with:

Junior Achievement
Sioux Falls Banquet
Feeding South Dakota Backpack Program

She is a proud 2005 graduate of South Dakota State University (with a B.A. degree in advertising and minors in graphic design, marketing, and Spanish). Renee has volunteered over 100 hours of her time to various design projects including political campaigns, Salute To The Troops and the MS-150.
